DONE WRONG? If anybody was DONE WRONG, it was Helmer. His job is to win the World Championship for his sponsors and his whole team. That's exactly what he did! Good Managers do what is best for the whole team, not one player. If they hadn't DOUBLE DIPPED RoofX and Purcell, then you'd have the right the second guess and shit. Connell's a great player, always has been. If he was a great teammate, as I always thought he was. He wouldn't have pouted thru 3 games that his teammates battled their asses off to win. To me he disrespected Helmer in the process. Sure players get mad if they don't start. It's how you handle it that matters. Everybody should manage a team for at least one yr. if they think it is so easy. Will Conny refuse to take his Championship ring?

I believe Bazat left but that might just be rumor mill stuff. But he, Bazat, was not at the MWS.

I believe Bazat left was at USA Super Nationals. It’s a win at all costs at Resmondo, they don’t care who you are or what you’ve done in the past. It’s what can you do for me now. This is why they are so successful.

That's how it should be. If a sports managers philosophy isn't "Win at all costs," then what even is their entire purpose? The players want to win at all costs so if you have a Manager that doesn't want to win at all costs, that's contradictory.

With that being said ------ guys like Bazat and Conny should be extended a lot of grace as well. These are guys at the end of their slow pitch careers that are struggling with their reduced roles, on a team that they have played for a combined 30+ years. They are really good dudes that are still uber competitive human beings. They deserve grace and shouldn't be put down like some in this thread and others have done. (Not you Alex, you are always fair, reasonable, and logical)

Mr Anonymous, I 10000% agree with you.

Helmer is one of the best to ever do it and at the end of the day he's the boss of that dugout. He should 100% be extended grace and respect.

I think all parties should give it two weeks and take a bunch of deep breathes. There's a lot of friendships, respect, and memories on the line when people hold grudges. I am only speaking from my own experience.

Brett is in charge of an almost 7 figure budget and will do what’s best for the sponsors and team. Bazat returned this year knowing his role and wasn’t happy all year. Conny’s production dropped off dramatically and it’s next man up when that happens. WS is no time to let guys figure it out

First off B Miller congrats on getting that elusive A Worlds Title you guys deserved it and I hope I get to see more of you guys next year as I am a fan of you and your teams.
 
To me it’s all about being logical and not trying to rile up the crowd like most of these people on here are. I call a spade a spade. Helmer had a job to do that his sponsors pay him for and it just sucks that he had some great humans on his team that he had to disappoint. Everyone will be okay and they will all move on. Bazat and Connell being mad is a great thing it’s just there competitive nature.

Agreed, sometimes things are saud and done in the heat of battle,thst people regret later. Hope all 3 work it out.
